Reality
“Reality” is an almost psychedelic song inspired by artists like Weyes Blood and Mitski. It’s about the unknown spaces like isolation and those moments when we don’t quite feel present. It creates a dreamscape feeling and was intended to continue building and building into madness.
Soar
“Soar” began at a Berklee summer program in 2019 with the main vocal riff and a set of chords on my acoustic guitar. I brought it out years later, replacing the guitar with piano and experimenting with different sounds and styles to occupy the space I wanted for the song.
ILYK
“ILYK” was written during lockdown when I had nothing to do but play around with my e-bow and fun sounds in Logic.
Amber
“Amber” was one of the first real “Virginia Werewoolf” songs. It was inspired by the orange skies of San Francisco in Fall 2020.
